Chemical injection pump applications

Chemical injection pumps are used in different industries for different purposes due to their ability to move large volumes of liquids. These types of pumps are used for a wide range of applications and industries, from wastewater treatment to food processing. In addition to industrial water treatment and food industries, agriculture, electricity production, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, mining are some of the industries that need chemical dosing pumps for the following applications:

  • Maintaining the pH in the desired range
  • Transfer of activated sludge during secondary treatment
  • Adding fluoride to public water
  • Odor control in final treatment
  • Oxidation and disinfection

Other dosing pump applications include the following:

  • Adding alkali (caustic) or acid to the water storage tank to neutralize the pH
  • In wastewater treatment, it is used to inject substances such as chlorine into the water stream or fluid to cause chemical reactions and keep the pH in the desired range or kill pathogens.
  • Mixing disinfectants, flocculants and scale inhibitors
  • Preparation of highly compatible adhesives or additives for paper and cellulose industries
  • Corrosion operation in steam boilers with high pressure and temperature
  • Feed for smelting factories
